Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior SAP Basis Consultant to support the technical operation and stability of SAP landscapes. The role focuses on building a solid understanding of SAP system administration while assisting senior Basis consultants with monitoring, incident resolution, transports, and documentation. This position is suited to candidates starting their SAP technical careers in a controlled enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily system monitoring activities including background jobs, system health checks, and interface monitoring.
- Assist with transport management activities across development, quality, and production environments under supervision.
- Support incident resolution by gathering logs, analysing symptoms, and escalating issues with clear documentation.
- Assist with user administration activities such as user creation, role assignment support, and password resets.
- Participate in system maintenance activities including client copies, system refresh support, and patch preparation.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of SAP architecture and system landscapes.
- Familiarity with SAP GUI administration tools.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and databases is advantageous.
Functional Skills
- Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
- Clear communication and structured problem reporting.
- Willingness to learn technical troubleshooting and system management.
Experience Required
- 0 to 2 years SAP Basis or SAP technical support exposure.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- SAP Basis training advantageous.
