Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior SAP BW Consultant to support enterprise reporting and analytics delivery. You will assist with data load monitoring, basic modelling support, query troubleshooting, and documentation. This role suits candidates who are building a foundation in data warehousing and want structured exposure to SAP BW concepts, governance, and delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor data loads and support basic troubleshooting with clear escalation notes and evidence.
- Assist with simple modelling tasks such as validating InfoObjects, supporting transformations, and checking data consistency.
- Support reporting users by investigating query issues and helping resolve data and authorisation related problems.
- Participate in testing activities, including regression testing and validation against business expectations.
- Maintain functional documentation, data definitions, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with source system and functional teams to understand data lineage and reconciliation requirements.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of BW concepts such as data flows, InfoProviders, and queries.
- Comfort with structured troubleshooting and data validation.
- Exposure to BW on HANA concepts is advantageous.
Functional Skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn analytics fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate clearly and document findings.
- Strong service mindset and ability to work within support processes.
Experience Required
- 0 to 2 years experience in BW support, reporting, or data related roles.
- Exposure to testing or operational support is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in IT, Data, Engineering, Finance, or similar.
- SAP BW training or certification is advantageous.
